The "Lookinto" Box ......Sculpture so far ......

My friend asked me to put a piece in a "small works" show (any sort of artwork that is under 10") . Instead of doing the obvious--a small painting--I decided to do a small diorama. I wanted the diorama to be about a person in a bedroom having a nightmare.....I raced home from work and spent all night on a project that I thought would have taken 2 hours!
Here is the development so far; I took one of those shabby wooden pre-made birdhouses from the craft store, broke it open and began the room. I put up "wallpaper", a bed and a tiny simple night table. I made a "humanoid" figure out of wire and Sculpty (polymer clay that hardens in the oven).
The body was wire--the head was Sculpty . The figure came out a little more bizarre than I had imagined....like one of those abstract animated videos that TOOL used to do. Anyway here is the progress:
