DEVIL'S ASHTRAY !
20 x 26" on canvas, which I don't use anymore (I only paint on masonite panels). This is an old one (1992?) This was on display when I had first moved to Saratoga Springs and did not know many people there. I had an exhibit in the coffee shop of the local library. Sold it a few years later. (Back then I used to make a HUGE PAINTING MISTAKE; I thought that adding white makes things brighter/lighter. Adding white thins the pigment quality --making everything seem "gray/hazey"...not BRIGHTER! )
At the time, I had thought "OK, this is the best on I've ever done!" . EMERGING ARTIST LESSON # 9: No matter how good you think you are--you can be BETTER! Also do not add WHITE to your colors!

Love/Hate Relationship with the Chinese Buffet !
(16 x 20" Acrylic paint on canvas panel- 2002) One of the first "test" paintings that I put on E-Bay--to see if anything would actually sell--and it did--but certainly not a lot of money.
EMERGING ARTIST LESSON # 10: If less than optimum circumstances force you to sell your artwork for a lesser price than you had imagined--this is not such a bad thing. You sold something to someone who really digs your artwork enough to buy it and hang it in their home!
The City Never Sleeps!
....or does it? I did this 16 x 20" painting as a "rough" for another later one I did, that was more polished. Sometimes, that's not such a good thing! I think I like this one better. I gave this one as a gift to friends of mine who live in NYC. They have a nice apartment in a nice area. Emerging Artist Pointer #1: Have your artwork in a setting wherein other people might visit the ones you gave/sold the artwork to , see it, and say "Oh wow, cool". They might be apt to buy something from you down the road. I tell people that this is based on an H.P. Lovecraft story (even though it's not--it has Lovecraft "flavor".) Anyway, people tell me that it does in fact LOOK like Lovecraft himself!

Devil Painting Detail
This is a detail from a larger painting that I did about 2 years ago. Acrylic paint on a masonite panel. Visit my official website for more: www.artaugogo.com
ROBOT ARTWORK
One of my older paintings from 1999 (sold on E-Bay this year--by me; seller konga5). 14 x 20" acrylic paint on masonite panel. Haunted by images of my old local drive-in theater, Commack Long Island ! CLICK HERE TO SEE MY OTHER BLOG: http://snackbar-confidential.blogspot.com/
SPIDERGIRL !
This is one of my "simple" paintings. I realise that some people like "uncluttered" artwork--and my paintings are usually clogged with characters and images. There is usually not much breathing room in my paintings so I took a step back, and did a cartoony simple painting. I will be usuing this character again soon! Search E-bay by my seller name : konga5 .
"Demon Bait on 7th Ave."
I had finished this last year. Kinda different for me...I was totally uncomfortable with using such a bright background! When I had this at my CBGB's show, one of my friends said "You know, putting an iPod in the painting is going to make it look dated in the near future". I replied, "Yeah, I know".

"Vampira on a Bum Trip"
- Painting Story: Ah, Vampira is invited to a party in Williamsburg Brooklyn. She was told that "a lot of artists are moving in". Oh joy! More compitition! Anyway, when she gets there, she finds that not only is it CROWDED and smelly, but mainly way too much "attitude". The kind of attutude she was escaping from. We can only hope that tonight she will have a few drinks and enjoy herself and plan for the future. Specifics: Painting is 16 x 20" on a canvas panel. I sell paintings like this on E-Bay for under $200. --so if you like it, seek me out there; seller name : konga5. Thank you.
